New weapons, new vehicles, new locations... same carnage.

The Ballad of Gay Tony takes the classic fan-favourite modes from Grand Theft Auto IV multiplayer and overhauls every aspect for an action packed, over-the-top experience. Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Race, GTA Race and Free Mode have all been modified to include new gameplay features. Below we have detailed each of the changes.

2-16 Players / 2-8 Teams
Deathmatch & Team Deathmatch
The new Deathmatch locations are more contained.

The objectives of Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch are the same as they are in standard GTA IV multiplayer. This time however, you receive $25 for each assisted kill, and you also receive health and armour bonuses for kill streaks of 3, 5 and 10. Ending other players' kill streaks earns you $125.

New locations are also available, which are more contained than the standard locations, making for an even more intense experience. New locations include: Global Domination, Battle Station, Funland, Academically Challenged, Ziggurat, Catch Your Wave, Xero In, Auld Reekie, Trespass, Diamond in the Rough and more.

And of course, all the new weapons and vehicles are available, including the Buzzard attack chopper and the N.O.O.S.E. APC.

1-16 Players
Free Mode
Leap with your friends from the highest buildings.

As the name would suggest, Free Mode is a complete free for all. There are no rules, no objectives and no scores. Now made more insane than ever with the addition of the nimble Buzzard attack helicopter, the devastating N.O.O.S.E. APC and even parachutes to enable you to skydive down from the top of the tallest skyscrapers.

Find the 9 BASE jump marker locations scattered throughout the city in Free Mode and hit Right Button to warp you (and anyone else with you in Multiplayer) to the top of the building. Clean, successful and well-executed BASE skydiving jumps will be tracked by time and other statistics that you'll be able track and compare with Friends at Rockstar Games Social Club.

1-16 Players
Race & GTA Race
New race tracks and vehicles are available in Race.

The Race and GTA Race multiplayer modes return in The Ballad of Gay Tony - now upgraded with a host of new vehicles, new race tracks, and nitrous boosts. GTA Race of course has the added element of combat, and now features the N.O.O.S.E. APC tank.

Available Tracks: Tour D'Algonquin, Grand Tourer, Go Both Ways, Burn your Bridges, Tar Macked, Club Class, Jumpyard Dodge, Upper Junction, Mind the Gap, Meadows Park & Ride, Meat your Marker, Original Outlook, Fly By, Damn Rotten Hills, Round the Horny, Random.
